Happy New Year !

I would like to say thank you all for 2009 and whish you all a great
2010! I know it will be great year, all we have to do is want to make
it a good one, like in that movie about a baseball field, "if you
build it, they will come!" let's build it together!

Disney Sea !

Man it was crowded but we still managed to get some nice rides! About
a year ago or so they built this thing called the house of terror! And
it was absolutely terrible! Although we all got in it, two of my girls
nearly cried their hearts out, I a tually wonder about the age limit
for such a scary ride??? Eventually I convinced them all that they
survived the ultimate ride and that now there was nothingthat could
scare them? But I am sure they will never go on that thing again... Me
too...

昨日はこんでいたけど、それなりに楽しかったです！ミスティックリズム
は最高にかっこよかったですし、最後のハウス オブ テ
ラー？は最高に怖かったです。。。子供達は頑張って乗ったけど、最後の
大泣きはかわいそうだった。。。二度と乗らない約束しましたよ！この写
真はシンバッドの乗り物です、シンバッドの新キャラ、チャンドゥはやっ
ぱり可愛いよ！

This place is really different from Disney Land! Unfortunately there
are way too many people here, and it is taking up to three hours to
get on a ride...

今日は子供達とディズニーシーに来ているけど？人がいすぎて何時間も待
たないと乗れない感じです！本当はすごい楽しいところですけど？今日は
軽く散歩しかできないかも？

Gallaway golf wear !

Looks like they have started moving in a new direction, so they needed
strong looking model. And what can I say ? They picked me! I thought
the shoot went fine and we took some good pictures. It is always fun
to do jobs that are a bit different from what I normally do, and being
a big unit like I am I don't get a lot of model jobs! So I really
enjoyed this one, hopefully they like me and call me back for the next
seasons line too...

It was a ride against Domestic Violence, somthing I want to support. So I joined in with 120 santa's riding around Tokyo to raise awareness about the cause!

Japanese hotsprings

I went to the hotsprings over the weekend and just had a great time.
The natural hot springs in japan is a special treat, and located only
a couple of hours out of Tokyo the mountains were covered in snow. If
you feel you need a break from all the rush of finishing off the year,
I would definetely recommend you take a small trip out of the city and
enjoy a couple of great hours in the hot waters.

この前の土・日曜温泉に入る事にしました、仲いい会社の社員と皆で最高
の時間を頂きました！これで、来年に向けてかなり気合いが入りました！

アレッシオ帰り！

寂しいよ！アレッシオ君のビザが切れたので一度イタリアに帰る事にしま

Last night it was Allecsio's last training in Japan. His visa ran out
an he has to go back for some time before coming back here. Let me
just say that we are all going to miss you. Osu! Hope to see you soon
again, you will always be part of the family!

The Spirit Gym end of the year party !

We are approaching the end of the year, and as it is tradition in Japan. Everyone gets together to say good bye and thank you for the year and get ready for next year, last night we got everyone from the Spirit Gym together for our traditional Bonenkai! Thank you all for a great year and let's keep up the good work in 2010!

２００９年は本当にお疲れ様でした、たくさんいい稽古が出来て皆さんとの修行時間はいつも楽しくやらせていただいています。来年は黒おびの審査も待っているし、夏に合宿も楽しみしています！

The thing is !

The thing about working out it is so addictive! I got out of bed this morning and although I was sore from working out yesterday I wanted to go to the gym again. So I just went! I love the feeling I get after have done a great workout. It is like getting a fix or something! I love and have missed it for too long now, it gives me focus in my life and way of thinking. It gives me life, next year I am hoping that I can actually do some sparring or something like that. But for now I am just overly exited about the fact that my split is almost back to normal, the joint has been really stiff from scar tissue and other complications. But today I was able to open up my legs farther than I have been able to in almost two years now, I am actually feeling that my leg is more flexible in some stretches than before the operation.

運動のよさ！運動のよさは、一度始まるとやめられなくなる。昨日から気分的に本格にやりたいっていう気持ちが生まれてから絶対に毎日何かやりたいです。昨日は忘年会で遅い時間まで飲んでいたのに、朝起きたらジムに行きたい気持ちになっていたからそのままジムに行って何と昨日より少し走りました。走りのは僕元気をくれるバロメーターです。毎日のロードワークは実に言うとこの二年間出来ていなかった、当然それで体は大きくなったし、気持ち的に少しな変化が感じましたけど、何とかこの体を治せばまだ元に戻れる自信があった。まだ体はついてってないですが、久しぶりにモチベーションは本格的に帰ってきた気分です。別に今までうそじゃなかったけど、何とかリハビリのために動いていたこともあって、今は本当のニコラス心の底からのモチベーションはやっと帰ってきた！待ってました！

Back in the gym !

So I finally decided to make my way back to the gym again, I was in my house just sitting here in front of my computer and then it hit me. I need to work out, and it has to be now. So I packed my bag and got up and my bike and 4 min. later I was in the gym doing arm curls and squats. I really just wanted to run but, I figured that the build up of atrophy during my off period needed a bit of a power boost. So I spent some time juggling around with some dumbbells and barbells, after that I got up on the treadmill and although I just wanted to take off like a bat out of hell, I ended up spending quite some time getting my leg warmed up and then trying to ease into a slow running pace. But by the time I had finished my 30 min. I felt quite good about myself, now I am just more interested in how the soreness is going to hit me tomorrow? If everything goes well then I will be able to run again tomorrow! But let's just take one day at a time for now...

今日はいきなり来た！あの気持ち、絶対に運動したいっていう気持ちです！最近足の調子はあんまりよくなかったりしていたので、今年いっぱい休み事に決めたんですけど。。。今日の気持ちは絶対に殺したら駄目です、行くしかないって自分も分かっています。なので、リュックをしょって、バイクに乗ってその４分後ジムでバーベルをいじっていました。最後はランニングマシーンに乗って、気分的に言うとそこで思い切り走りたい気持ちですが。。。足はおもっとほど言う事聞かなくって、ちょうゆっくりになりましたけど、３０分がたつと非常に気持ちがよかったです。それからストレッチをしてシャワーです、帰りのバイクでは”明日も走りたいですね”と考えながらゆっくり帰ってきた。。。

Uncle Carls flying house ?

I am not quite sure what they are calling the new movie from Pixar Studios in English? But that is what they would call it if they translated directly from Japanese. Anyway, I thought it was amazing! We went to see it because it was Keito's birthday today, and it was just one of those movies that the whole family can enjoy. Lots of humor, a bit of scary stuff in there to get the kids exited and then of course a lot of love! They got it right this time I will say that.

恵友ちゃんの誕生日だったんです！１２月１４日に何と１０歳になりました、これは初めて年齢が二桁になった。早いな～！それぐらい自分も年がとったっていうことでしょうけどあんまり感じないです。お祝いとしてバーガーキングで好きなものだけ買ってきて、この”カールじいさんの空飛ぶ家”を見に行きました！本当によかったです、さすがPIXARの新作品は面白かった、親見ても面白かったし、子供見てもよかったです。早くDVDで欲しいです、きっとまたはまります。

Samukawa Vs. Takase

There has been a huge buildup about this fight, and even with more than 10 kg's weight difference. Samukawa was able to pull it off last night! It turned out to be a hard fight, but with everything taken into consideration it was all worth it.

昨日の後楽園はかなり熱かったです！寒川 Vs. 高瀬戦は本当に楽 しかったです。寒川は10キロ以上かるかったのに試合を受けまし た、高瀬選手は元総合の選手なので、お互いにハンディーを持ちながら試 合をしました！本当にお疲れ様でした。結果は寒川の判定勝ちでした！

Samurai Spirit Party !

Samurai Spirit

My show Samurai Spirit won a great prize at the 27th. Milan
international sports program festival. And last night we had a small
party to celebrate it. I think it is awesome to have been part of
something like that, and look forward to shooting the rest of the
episodes.

のお祝いパーティーを昨日やりました！みんなの力を合わせた結果ですの
で、本当に嬉しいです。来年はシリーズが続きますので、頑張ってもっと
もっといい番組を作りたいです！皆さん、に感謝の気持ちで胸がいっぱい
です！本当におめでとうございます。

Jackpot lucky 777

I got up on my bike tuis morning and before I knew it I had hit the jackpot when I turned off the engine ! Great weather with a smooth running bike, and the jackpot is just like getting an extra bonus!

今日はいつも見たいにバイクで子供を幼稚園に送ってたら、何と！バイクのエンジンを切ろうとしたときに、ジャックポットに当たりました！
７７７これは、本当に偶然ですけど？なぜか？気持ちいいです。

25$ Shrimp ! In one bite

So I went down to the local fish store last night to get some dry food for my fish tank, when I saw some cute white sox shrimp! They cost about 25$ or 2500¥en a piece but the look real cute, so I bought a couple of them! Then the moment I put them in the tank, my little blowfish swam over and ate one! I don't think I have ever eaten a 25$ shrimp that fast.

昨日は魚のエサを買いに行ったら、可愛いエビが売ってましたので二匹 もって帰りました！しかし、すいそうに入れた瞬間、こいつがぺろりんと 食ってしまった！2500円エビが一分も持たなかったよ！ちょう悔しい。。。

Happy birthday Brotha !

It was a party to remember ! Great friends, great food, great
atmosphere and then the K-1World GP on TV! I don't think we could have
asked for more, but when they came out with the cake and sang the
happy birthday song. I thought I saw a little tear in my friends eye!

昨日はK-1GPを見ながら、友人のバースデーパーティーをやりまし
た！最高の仲間と食事、酒、K-1GP！プライスレスでした！しか
も、最後にバースデーソングをみんなでうだったとき感動しました！

The Wasteland Behind the scenes!

This is what it looks likebehind the scenes on the set of FUMOCHITAI, in english the Wasteland! It is a drama based on true facts, and some of the mayor building stones of the Japanese economy during the 50's and 60's leading up to the 7~80's. I play John Pratt the Asian Liason for Ford in America.

This is Yakiniku!

Last night I went out with some of the members from Club SP Works,
because we had gotten invited out to a yakiniku restaurant by the
owner of a famous bike shop called Esper! It is the handsome man with
the receding hairline to the left on the picture, mr. Komiya! The
yakiniku was awesome one of those places that only cares for getting
the best meat to th costumer. And we got the best!

昨日はCLUB SP WORKSの沢野さんとボスのシェリフさんと
一緒に、V-MAXのカスタム専門店エスパーの社長と焼肉
に行きました！お店は川崎にある北京って言うところ
に行きましたけど⁉この店は半端じゃないです！本当
にや。き。に。く。って言う感じの店で久しぶりにお
腹がパンパンになるまで食べました！

Motivational speaking seminar

This is something I have been working on for quite some time now, and
it is finally become structured enough to sell as a package. I have
been doing speaking seminars for years now, but they have often been
more or less on the spur of the moment. Now I have about four

The Wasteland !

This is something from the location of the TV drama called FUMOCHITAI, The Wasteland. It is based on a true story set during and after the second world war. This is my kid in the role as John Pratt, a very handsome looking young boy with a spring in his step and good nature!

湾岸スタジオ前でロケをしました、このでは写真でしか出てこない息子役のブラッドくんです。かなりいいキャラをしている！

TV shoot

Today I start shooting on the TV drama that I have talking about
recently, and I am actually really excited about it. I normally don't
get this exited about acting, but for some reason this time is
something I am really looking forward to. But I just caught a cold! I
am actually breaking out in cold sweats and my throat is real sore,
for some reason this tends to happen everytime I am about to do some
acting jobs! Last time I played a sports instructor and the night
before we shot I had 39.8 degrees in fever!!! But I still pulled
through on the day!

今日からドラマな撮影が始まります、久しぶりにかなり興奮しています！
多分興奮し過ぎて、風ひいてしまった！
昨日からひどいです！朝から頭が痛い、ノドが痛いけど、きっと大丈夫で
す！前回"コールセンターの恋人"の時に撮影前の夜に
39.8℃熱を出していたけど、現場についたとき気合いで治した！今日はそ
んなひどくないですので、全然大丈夫よ！

Sunday haircut !

What better way to spend your Sunday than getting a nice haircut? I
needed to cut my hair for the drama that I start shooting on tomorrow,
and althought I normally like to put some streaks in it, this time I
am playing a business man in the 60's so I had to tone down my hair a
bit. All my lines are in Japanese this time, and since I got the
manuscript I have been reading them all through about 20 or 30 times a
day. I speak them out loud whenever I feel like it, and it has helped
me get the lines down. Now I know I got them all I can hope for is
that they don't change them when I get there. It has happened often
enough that the director feels some other lines should be used and
then he can change them on the spot. This show is set about 50 years
ago so even the spoken Japanese is a bit old. But it is all fun and
games and since it is my favorite job in the world I am just looking
forward to it.

明日から始まるドラマの撮影のために、髪の毛を作ってきた！日曜日って大体日
曜日のペースになるけど、明日から始まる撮影は本当に楽しみです！今回は真面
目なサラリーマン役なので、髪型もそれなりに切ってもらいました。この前台本
をもらってから、毎日セリフの練習を朝から、昼、夜、一日20〜30回練習してい
ます！今回は全部日本語なので、かんぺきにやりたいです。いや、本当に僕が一
番好きな仕事ですので、楽しみでしょうがないです！

BUNGELING BAY SPIRIT 2 FIGHTS 2 WINS 2 K.O.

写真を見れば何となく分かると思いますが、松倉のプロデビューはＫ．Ｏ.勝ちで終わりました、しかも！１ラウンドで！本当にいい試合でした、本人も最高にいいやつです、練習は一生懸命やっている結果はやっぱりこれです。来年はきっといい年になるんじゃないか！下の写真は斎藤君です、彼も本当に真面目にいつも練習しています。今回は本人の初Ｋ．Ｏ.でした、斎藤みたいに真面目に練習をすれば絶対に強くなります。斎藤の来年も楽しみです！





I think these pictures speak for themselves, the top ones are of Matsukura who is the K-1 under 18 champion. It was his first professional fight and he did everything right, fought hard and Knocked out the guy in the first round! The pictures after that are of Saito another fighter on the team Bungeling Bay Spirit, and he also Knocked Out his opponent! So all in all it was a very good day for the team.

Three girls !

I am often asked about my girls and today is gonna be the day I show
you what they all look like! There names are Keito almost 10 years
old, Emily 8 years and Angelina who just turned 6 this month. So here
they all are, cute as the cream on a crusty cream doughnut.

Samurai Spirit NG scene !

今回はサムライ　スピリットの静岡ロケーションでイメージカットを海側で後ろに富士山が見えます、上のレポートは日本語です、したのレポートは英語版です。。。どっち見ても楽しいかも？


This was shot yesterday when I was on location with my program Samurai Spirit, we were in Shizuoka to film with a master of Ko-budo, ancient style of martial arts originating on the battlefield of the Samurai. It was just such a beautiful location I wanted to show what Mt. Fuji looks like from the sea side. I even have an English report for you guys too...

Samurai Spirit

Today we are going down to Shizuoka to shoot on the next episode of my
NHK International program Samurai Spirit. It is about Kobudo, which is
the ancient martial art originating on the battle field all about
surviving! And I am about to find out what real fighting is all about.

今日は静岡まで行ってきます！静岡で古武道の撮影をします！今回はサム
ライ スピリットの古武道分をとって来ます。古武道は本当の武道
です、現代のスポーツ武道と違うところを今回撮影してきます。実は僕も
いろいろと勉強したいと思っています。。。

Not quite sure what happened ?

I tried to upload a couple of pictures yesterday, but they didn't show

Guess I still don't know what I am doing?

Anyway, winter finally came to Tokyo, it has been getting colder and
colder lately and today it is really chilly. I don't feel like getting
out of bed, but one of the boys from the team is fighting this
afternoon and I am going along to help out.

Lately I have been busy with learning my lines for the drama that I
got a rather good part in. It's all in Japanese so I guess that, I am
finally going to get a chance to show off my acting skills in Japanese
on prime time tv. You never know when I will get my break over here?
But this could be it!!!

冬が来た〜

今日はふとんから出るのは久しぶりに時間がかかってしょうがないです！

って言うか？まだ、ふとんに入って今ブログを書いています。午後からJCBホール
で丸山君の試合があるので、この後はコウイチと行ってきます！

あのホールで初めて試合を見る、もしくは初めて試合をやるけど、すごいところ
らしい。

しかし、最近頭の中ではドラマのセリフでいっぱいです、やっと日本語で演技を
することになったのでワクワクしています。頑張っていいところを見せたいで
す。

Happy Birthday Honma-san

one of the core staff members on Samurai Spirit had his 36th. birthday on the set the other day and no one but my manager, Kitani Maki and I knew about it so we surprised him with a cake and a little song!

サムライ　スピリットのスタッフメンバー本間さんはこの前の現場で誕生日だったんです、何も分かっていなかったのでかなりびっくりしました。全然コメントにならなかったぐらいびっくりしました！

I spent the weekend in Matsuyama with Shoji Akira from Hustle, or as some of you might know? PRIDE! We used to run a gym together but since Leeman Brothers went down so did our gym and now I run the place by myself...But as you can see we are still good friends and we had a great time down in Matsuyama. It is the longest arcade style shopping street complex in Japan, and there were having a gourmet festival so we ended up eating all weekend...



松山では小路さんとグルメフェスタに参加しました、しかし、ダイットしたいニコラスにとってはかなり大変でした。。。楽しかったですけど！食べっぱなしでかなりまだ体重上がりました、今週で何とかしなきゃと思っている！

Angelina's birthday

Today Angelina turned 6 years old ! Man times fly by fast...

I think we are going to have a party for her tonight, as I am sure she
wants to get some presents and a big birtday cake!

今日で6歳になりました！おめでとうございます！夜はみんなでパーティーしま
す、そして、プレゼントとケーキ〓が待っています。。。来年は学校です！早す
ぎたよ、いつの間にこんなに大きくなったかな〜

Matsuyama Gourmet Festival

I flew down here yesterday to take part in the Gourmet Festival as a
guest, and it has been a great time since coming here! Great food with
great friends! The picture of the bath house is actually the original
bath house which was used as a model for the famous animated movie by
Miyazaki Hayao "Spirited Away"

昨日から松山に来ています、何と！仕事はグルメフェスタに参加すること
です。昨日から松山名物を食べながらみんなで楽しい時間を過ごしまし
た！
